I thought I’d add to the soap making idea. I heard someone suggest using a Pampered Chef bread tube to mold the soap in. Then release it and slice it off into bars for a “shaped” bar. I thought it was a great idea so I bought some just for crafting and have never tried it. I just found another one at a garage sale too. Do you think that would work for more traditional soap recipes too?
Hey Melody! I think that is a great idea. I will have to look into that. I found a quick recipe today for glycerin soap. The recipe said to go to a craft store and get a block of glycerin. Melt it and add essential oils and oatmeal. You can also add spiced tea leaves. I am sure that there are lots of things you can use as molds. I will definitely be looking at our local thrift stores this week for inspiration. Take care and let me know how your soap turns out! – Shan
